LASER HAIR REMOVAL
For
many women and men, unwanted hair can be a nuisance - or even

are temporary at best.

Hair
grows in three distinct cycles. The active or growth cycles (Anagen);
the dormant cycle (Catagen) and, finally, the fall-out or shedding

The
pigment in the hair follicle absorbs the laser energy and converts
the light to heat. The heat, in turn, damages the follicle and
destroys its ability to re-grow. It is important to treat each
follicle during the growth cycle for maximum hair reduction. Dark
hair responds better, thin peach fuzz does not respond to laser
hair reduction.
Significantly
less hair grows back with each treatment. Usually three to six
cessions are needed to achieve the desired result in hair reduction.
The number of treatments required varies from individual to individual.
Hair
growth cycles differ on different parts of the body. Your skin
and hair color, coarseness of hair as well as age influence hair
growth rate. The final result expected is a reduction in the number
of hair by at least 80-90%.
The
remaining hair is very thin and fine hair that is hardly noticed.
Most
people describe the laser as a not painful procedure, it feels
like a rubber band snap. To make it comfortable local anesthetic
cream can make the experience very pleasant.
Considering

waxing or plucking over a life time.
