Abdominoplasty
(Tummy Tuck Tightening)

The flat stomach, every body wants it, and strives for it. However, the toll of pregnancy, weight gain, & weight loss, makes the stomach an easy target to stretch, bulges, and rolls; but it does not have to be that way anymore! You ca do something about it.

Liposuction, tummy tuck, or a combination of both can help. These procedures remove localized pockets of fat accumulation, and remove excess skin. During the procedure the muscles are also tightened. This results in a dramatic improvement in appearance of the protruding abdomen. Resulting in tighter, flatter, firmer stomach, and a narrower waist line.

The best candidates for such a procedure, are men and women who are in generally good health, but have localized fat deposits and loose skin, which is resistant to diet and exercise.

Tummy tuck results are particularly dramatic in women who have had multiple pregnancies or given birth to larger babies. This causes the muscles and skin of the abdomen to stretch, causing stretch marks and laxity of the skin to occur. During pregnancy, the muscles are stretched causing separation of the muscles and protrusion of the abdomen. Sometimes all that is required to achieve these results are liposuction and a mini tummy tuck.

There are several approaches to the tummy tuck, all involve an incision in the lower abdomen. Just above the pubic area. The design of the incision determines where the maximal pull, also determines the definition of the waist as in lateral high tension abdominoplasty. The incision is usually put within the bikini line.

After surgery, soreness and discomfort is very well controlled with medication. Avoid over activity and straining for three to four weeks. Full activity and exercise may be resumed by the fourth week.

Abdominoplasty is usually done as an outpatient procedure, under general Anesthesia or epidural Anesthesia. Even though it is an out patient procedure, you may elect to stay for a 23 hour hospital stay, for your comfort and control of pain.

The results are evident almost immediately after surgery, for you to enjoy the new you with flatter, firmer abdomen and a narrower waist line! The line of scar in the bikini line will fade with time
