Forehead Lift/Brow Lift

Face > Forehead Lift/Brow Lift

Baltimore Cosmetic Surgery

Upper face aging contributes to the aging look of the orbital region and of the face. Which give the tired look, the sad look and the aging look. As the aging of the forehead progresses, muscle tone deteriorates; gravity pulls the eye brow down thus crowding the eyelids and weighing heavy on the upper lids. The descent of the eyebrows leads to a sad and to an angry look, depending on which part of the brow drops down, the inside of the brow or the outside of the brow, losing the natural arch of the brow.

Dr. Shureih a well respected Baltimore Plastic surgeon, using the most advanced techniques and technology will be able to offer you several options, depending on the exact deformity to be corrected. You can then chose which procedure fits your needs.

Correction of frown lines, which are the result of an overactive muscle, the corrugator muscles.

Frown lines can be smoothed by:

  1. Botox® injections which weaken the muscle, thus smoothing the frown lines. Botox® action is temporary and lasts 3-5 months before the muscle regains its activity. Botox® injections into the muscle can be repeated if desired. Botox® when used properly can elevate the eye brow as well. Knowledge of the minute muscles of the face and their interaction allows us to achieve the results you desire. Dr. Shureih, Baltimore Cosmetic Surgeon has a wide knowledge of these muscles since we deal with the face aging and plastic surgery of the face.Dr. Shureih will be the person who injects the Botox®. We do not delegate this fine procedure to an assistant or a nurse injector.
  2. Elevation of the brow, correction of frown lines, correction of transverse forehead lines all can be achieved with endoscopic forehead lift. Through 3 small incisions within the hairline. The endoscope is introduced and the muscle is removed or weakened thus getting rid of the deep frown lines permanantly. The forehead and eyebrows are then lifted to the appropriate level to smooth the forehead and reposition the eyebrows. The arch of the brow is restored.

Proper elevation of the brow gives the most drastic, yet natural beauty to the eyes and face. Dr. Shureih a Baltimore Plastic Surgeon, Is Board certified Plastic Surgeon with Certificate of Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery, in Baltimore and Ellicott city, Maryland. Dr. Shureih has 20 years of experience and thousands of procedures will give you the results you desire.

Endoscopic brow lift does not widen the forehead nor create bald areas in the scalp. The surgery is done under local anesthesia with twilight sedation. After the surgery, dressing around the forehead stays in place for one week, and bruising and swelling takes 2-3 weeks to resolve.

Rejuvenation of the eyse requires an understanding of the standards of beauty regarding the position of the eyebrows and their relationships to the eyes and of the shape and position of the eyebrow.

Dr. Shureih possesses the expertise and is committed to the art and science of cosmetic surgery and to delivering the best care to his patients.

Indeed Dr. Shureih was voted by his peers, Top Doc Baltomore Plastic Surgeon, in the Baltimore Magazine twice. He also was chosen Top Doc By the National Directory of TOP DOCTORS.
